To celebrate 20 Years of the ATRA National Finals, we're excited to introduce a brand-new award for our 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀!

Think you've got what it takes? All eligible Rookie Breakaway competitors will compete in the Ladies Breakaway, with the highest-placed eligible Rookie taking home the 20th Anniversary Rookie Breakaway Trophy Buckle and being crowned the 2026 ATRA Rookie Breakaway Champion!

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

Ladies wishing to compete for the Rookie Breakaway title must meet all the following requirements:

Have never won a year-end Open Breakaway Championship in any National or International rodeo or jackpot association.

Have career Breakaway earnings of less than $3,000 as of 1 September 2026 with any National or International Rodeo Association.

Any challenge to Rookie status must be submitted in writing to the ATRA Board before the conclusion of competition.

Any competitor found to be ineligible will immediately lose Rookie status.

Rookie competitors compete in the Ladies Breakaway field, with the highest-placed eligible Rookie being declared the 2026 Rookie Breakaway Champion.
