The ATRA is excited to announce that the 2026–27 Regional Saddle will be awarded to the Tasmanian High Point Team Roping Champion! Thanks to the ongoing support of Mal Fishenden Saddlery, the champion will take home a custom-made saddle. Points will be tallied from Open, #12, #10 and #8 Team Roping events between 1 July 2026 and 30 June 2027. Start planning your season now — every run counts!

Here’s a snapshot of what was discussed at the March Board meeting: Regional buckle presentations will now occur after results are finalised through Head Office to ensure accuracy before awards are distributed. Buckles will be sent to Regional Representatives on 1 July 2026. Following member feedback, the Board has decided to revert back to the Open and #12 Team Roping regional awards being trophy buckles, provided there have been five sanctioned events held within the region
